Diving around St. John is best described as fantastic, safe, easy and fun. There are more than 25 dive sites within a fifteen minute boat ride. Shallow coral gardens, shear rock faces, and fringing coal reefs have an outstanding variety of hard and soft corals, sea fans and sponges of every hue. Wild life is abundant with many tropical fishes. Parrotfish, Queen trigger, Blue Tang, Angelfish are just a sampling of the reef residents. Hawksbill turtles, spiny lobster, southern stingrays and spotted eagle rays are common, as are many other fascinating species. Visibility ranges from 50-100 feet, and water temperature between 78-84 degrees. Our fleet of 2 dive boats and staff of full time instructors are standing by to guide you on an easy, fun, tour though our underwater play land. With short boat rides, moderate depths for maximum bottom times, lush reefs, curious fish, and dependable conditions year-round, it is easy to understand why St. John diving is fantastic! Dive Schedules: We offer 2 tank, 2 location dives for certified divers everyday of the year. The boats depart at 8:30 and return at 12:30. In the afternoon, we offer Intro To Scuba, single tank dives and snorkel tours. The boats depart at 1:15 returning around 4:30, every day. Reservations are recommended as we operate by self-imposed safety ratios. Our popular wreck dive, The Wreck of The Rhone, lying in three distinct sections (bow, midsection and stern ) west of Salt Island. This 310 foot twin-masted steamer is regarded as a classic among wreck dives.
